Dear Gunbot Support,
I’m reaching out regarding an issue with the mac_gui version of Gunbot on macOS.
I have already successfully configured Gunbot using the terminal-based version (gunthy-macos), and have verified that the web interface at http:// localhost:3001 is working correctly. API connectivity to KuCoin is established, and basic trading settings have been applied.
However, I recently downloaded and launched the mac_gui version to access the full graphical Strategy Editor. Upon running gui-macos, the GUI starts on http:// localhost:3000, but I’m stuck at the password screen and do not recall setting one. The field is locked, and I’m unable to proceed.
To troubleshoot, I have already tried the following steps:
• Stopped any running instances of gunthy-macos
• Cleared ~/.gunbot
• Verified that ~/Library/Application Support/Gunbot does not exist
• Ran the GUI with the –reset flag:
/Applications/Gunbot/mac_gui/gui-macos –reset
• Confirmed that no .config/Gunbot or equivalent folder exists
Despite all this, the GUI still pulls a pre-registered configuration and does not let me proceed past the locked login screen.
I suspect this is due to a server-side license configuration that was auto-loaded (including an API key and GUI password) upon first launch.
Could you please assist with one of the following:
1. Provide the current GUI password linked to my license
2. Reset or remove the GUI password lock so I can complete setup
Let me know if you need my Gunthy wallet address, API key, or license reference to verify ownership.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Steven Chia
