Gunbot Continually Reloads

Hoping for a miracle here. I recently changed my exchange from Bittrex to Poloniex due to Bittrex fees eating most of my profit.  After a lot, an I mean lot of issues with Javier’s kind help I finally got Poloniex connected and a strategy loaded. However Gunbot continuously reloads, every single minute I get the spinning logo and greyed out screen and the program reloads.  Whilst it is connected to the exchange and trading it is unusable as you only have 1 minute to look at a chart and only a minute to try to create a strategy before it reloads and all changes are lost.  Anyone here experienced similar or any suggestions for a fix. I am utterly lost otherwise

Hi Paul, we have reproduced this issue. We are trying with different versions now and I will get back to you once we get any conclusion.

Ok, I get the same behavior running v21.4.x and newer. We have noticed that is something common but it doesn’t happen on all the computers. It’s weird because it only happens with Poloniex. The other exchanges work pretty fine on any version. If you want to run the bot on Poloniex, you will have to use v21.1 so far. It seems somehow is related with websockets, I mean they were added in latest beta versions and for some reason the combo Poloniex + latest betas triggers this issue. The dev team is aware of this and they are working on finding the cause.

Ok – so if I understand you think if I roll back the version to Gunbot v21.1 it will fix this issue?  If so how do I get hold of Gunbot v21.1 and will I “lose” anything of significance by rolling back?  What with upgrading for this issue on Poloniex and upgrading to fix the lack of support for Okex on V5 API the devs will be busy so I had better roll back!!

Hi, Poloniex was a Big one, but lately very few people use it. Most of the people from US run the bot on Binance.us and Coinbase.com. Usually the most popular exchanges get more love from dev team. Anyway, v21.1 works pretty good on Poloniex. You can download latest stable versions, like v21.1 from this link:

Thank  you. I have downloaded v.21.1. Before I install canI just check – do I stop my current bot, then do a fresh install ? or do I just replace the gunthy.exe file? What happens to the strategy that is already running do I lose all that & need to re-set API and Pairs strategies again or to they automatically port over

There is an easy way to update using import feature, but considering this time is a downgrade to a previous version, I would recommend you to make a fresh install.

You may recall I had to downgrade my Gunbot to v21 in order to get it to work with Poloniex and Ofex. I see we are now upto v.23. Would you know if the issues are fixed so I can upgrade or do I need to stay on v.21 still

For Poloniex v21 is the way to go.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I am finding the volume on Poloniex not so great and want to move. I won’t use Binance. I moved from Bittrex as the fees killed the profits.  I tried Ofex but despite being on the compatible list Gunbot does not work since they upgraded API & there was no fix date.

Can you advise apart from Binance and Bittrex which exchanges the latest version of Gunbot will work on with no known issues please. will it work on latest version on Kucoin, Gate or Huobi for example
